At the Warsaw Conference ministers responsible for forests in Europe will take decisions on common aspects concerning forests and forestry being of the highest political importance. The ministerial commitments are embraced in the Ministerial Declaration and two Resolutions:
- Warsaw Resolution 1: "Forests, Wood and Energy"
- Warsaw Resolution 2: "Forests and Water"

The documents consider the roles of forests in mitigating climate change, in promoting wood as a renewable energy carrier as well as in protecting water quality and quantity.

In addition on occasion of the 5th Ministerial Conference the two Ministerial Statements are prepared:
- Ministerial Statement on Pan-European Forest Week 2008
- Ministerial Statement on Forest Fires

The foremost issues put into the frames of the Conference Documents have been elaborated during the MCPFE Drafting Meetings by delegates of the MCPFE signatories, the European Community and observer organizations and endorsed by the Expert Level Meeting held on 3-4 September 2007, in Warsaw, Poland.

Two Reports are being prepared for the Warsaw Conference in order to provide policy and decision makers with the up-to-date data on the extend of accomplishment of goals of sustainable forest management (SFM) at a national and regional level.
