Guide for Participants

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

Due the obligatory security check by the Government Security Bureau the participants of the 5th MCPFE are kindly requested to enter the Conference Hall at Sheraton Hotel on Monday, 5 November between 8:15 – 8:45.

The Gala Dinner hosted by the Minister of Environment of Poland and the Minister of Environment of Poland and Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of Norway will take place at the Royal Castle in Warsaw in the evening on Monday, 5 November. The dress code for this event is formal and ladies wear evening dresses or skirts (or they can wear trousers assuming they are not casual), and gentlemen wear formal suits (for example: black with white shirt and tie or bow tie).

The Field Session hosted by the Polish State Forests will be convened on Wednesday, 7 November. The temperatures in Poland in November can drop below 0oC. Warm jackets and hiking boots would be advisable.

Holiday Travel Sp. z o. o. is an official co-organizer of the Conference responsible for Conference Secretariat, accommodation, transfers and programme for accompanying persons supervised by the Liaison Unit Warsaw.

Interpretation

The Conference sessions (on 5 and 6 November 2007) will be conducted in English and will be simultaneously interpreted into French, Russian and Polish. All other events and field trips will be held in English.

Printed materials to be displayed at the Conference

The participants of the Conference who wish to display relevant printed materials are kindly requested to notify Holiday Travel (by e-mailing elzbieta@holidaytravel.pl) about the quantity, format, titles and contact person, prior to sending them.
Please kindly note that the prints should be delivered to Warsaw between 15 October and 1 November 2007.

Passports and visas

Every foreign visitor entering Poland must have a valid passport or ID (EU citizens). Delegates requiring visas are advised to make their visa application in advance.
