POSTER SESSION GUIDELINES

Timing and Venue

The Poster Session will be organized on the ground and 1st floors of the Conference Venue at the Sheraton Hotel in Warsaw. It will be inaugurated on the first day of the Conference, i. e. on 5th November, 2007 at 10.40 am and the posters will be displayed till the end of the Conference, i. e. 7th November, 2007.

Topics and Tips

The Poster Session constitutes a complementation of the Conference Reports: State of Europe’s forests 2007 and Implementation of the MCPFE commitments 2003-2007. The MCPFE signatory countries as well as the observer countries and organisations are invited to present their posters.

Noting that the topic of the session is broad, the participants are encouraged to visually outline either a cross-sectoral view of SFM or focus on a particular, important issue referring to the reports subject-matter.

Preparatory procedures and technical requirements

The posters will be displayed as roll-up banners and each country/organisation is invited to present a poster. The participants are requested to send the posters on a CD (max. 600 MB) in a desktop publishing version and its A4 draft print. The requirements of the file are: a PDF for printing file or a TIF file 300 dpi. The organizers are in charge of putting the posters on the standardized background, which includes the Conference logo and the name of the country/organisation, as well as printing the posters and setting them up. It is essential for the authors to know that roll-ups are vertically oriented. Roll-up and poster dimensions are indicated on a poster scheme attached. The minimum dimensions of a poster are: 700 mm (width) x 700 mm (height), and the maximum: 700 mm (width) x 1000 mm (height).

Deadlines

In order to facilitate the preparations, the participants are kindly requested to submit an intention of presenting a poster at their earliest convenience. The poster should be provided in the appropriate form (see: technical requirements) no later than 30 September 2007.
