Programme

The Conference comprises several sessions. The Opening Ceremony will highlight beneficial influences of forests on quality of human life and it will be followed by presentation of the Conference Documents embracing mitigation of climate change, promotion of wood as a renewable energy carrier as well as emphasizing the role of forests in protection water quality and quantity.

Multi-stakeholder Dialogue (MSD)

this session will provide a platform for dialogue among European ministers responsible for forests, non-governmental organizations as well as representatives of research community, forest industry and forest owners associations.

Report presentations

this session will be devoted to presentation of the Reports on SFM prepared to provide up-to-date data and key facts showing to what extend the goal of sustainable forest management has been fulfilled at a national and regional level.

Official statements

will be open for official statements and deliberations of European ministers, representatives of international organizations and observer countries.

Plenary

will conclude with the Signing Ceremony and adoption of the Conference Documents by European ministers for further implementation at a national level.

Poster Session

A poster session and exhibition will run continuously during the Conference to present achievements of the countries and organizations in the implementation of the MCPFE commitments.

Field Trip

will offer a great opportunity to demonstrate and discuss practical aspects of forest management in a perspective of host country - Poland.
